Award-winnning author Jörn Jacob Rohwer is well-known for elegantly merging elements of literature and journalism in his writings. Widely published since 1995, his lengthy profile-conversations with luminaries from the arts, science and society are best represented by his critically acclaimed book of nearly 900 pages, Die Seismografie des Fragens (Salis, Zurich 2014). His most recent, book Failure Is What It’s All About. Steven D. Lavine – A Life Devoted To Leadership In The Arts (Deutscher Kunstverlag) was published in 2020. The L.A. Review of Books compared Rohwers narration style to Scott F. Fitzgerald. Based in Berlin, Rohwer has traveled the world and lectured and read in Europe and U.S.A. He graduated with distinction from UCL, London University, received numerous international fellowships and foundation grants for his works. Rohwer is the only German author who has been following in the footsteps of predecessors such as Édouard Roditi, Oriana Fallaci or Georg Stefan Troller, all of whom have cultivated the art of profile-conversation or, -interview.
